Rameesha Khattak

Ghostwriting that carries your name, not mine.

Academic and technical ghostwriter. Research papers, a thesis or dissertation, technical documentation and full-length books — researched from primary sources, properly referenced, delivered to deadline.

Rameesha Khattak, ghostwriter

Introduction

I'm a ghostwriter working in research-driven, formal writing: academic papers, a thesis or dissertation, technical documentation, and full-length non-fiction. The work is evidence-led and structured, written from primary sources rather than summaries, and it is published under your name.

Experience

Three years as a full-time ghostwriter at a research organisation, contributing hundreds of scholarly works — research papers, essays, theses — built on evidence-based reasoning and academic referencing.

A technical background means the complicated subjects are the interesting ones. I have written technical documentation on cloud computing and Amazon Web Services, software requirements specifications, and user manuals, including two AWS certification books published under a pen name.

Questions

What does a ghostwriter actually do?
I research and write the work; you publish it under your name. In practice that means reading the primary sources, structuring the argument, and drafting the piece so it reads as yours rather than as mine.
What kinds of writing do you take on?
Academic writing — research papers, essays, a thesis or dissertation — alongside technical documentation such as manuals, requirements specifications and system documentation, and full-length non-fiction books.
Is the writing original?
Yes. Everything is written from source rather than assembled from existing text, and claims are checked against the papers they cite rather than against summaries of them.
Whose name appears on the finished work?
Yours. That is the point of ghostwriting: the work should sound like the person whose name it carries. Some pieces are published under a pen name instead, as the two AWS certification guides were.
Do you write on technical subjects?
Yes, and they are the ones I find most interesting. Past work covers cloud computing and Amazon Web Services, database performance, software requirements and IT service management.
Do you work with clients internationally?
Yes. Much of the work has been for international clients, and everything is handled by email.
